Derek has 15 years experience in the elevator industry.  He started as an apprentice in the construction department doing new equipment installation for the first year, then moved up to mechanic status and continued doing new installations and service work for another year and a half. In 2013 Derek obtained his journeyman's Certificate from the Canadian Elevator Industry Education Program while working in Moose Jaw, Swift Current and surrounding area, which included taking care of his customers maintenance and service needs. For the last 7 years Derek has been in the Saskatoon area as a maintenance mechanic performing maintenance, testing, service and sales on elevators and escalators primarily in the city of Saskatoon, as well as most other cities and towns across the province. Born and raised in Saskatoon, Derek enjoys spending time either at the lake, rink or enjoying any family activity with his wife and 3 children.
